Even in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic, the National Board of Zakat Republic of Indonesia conducts the 2020 BAZNAS AWARD. This online event gives awards to BAZNAS and the Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ) for their efforts in managing zakat.
At the 2020 BAZNAS Award, there are new categories for Provincial BAZNAS and Regency / City BAZNAS. They are; the Best Zakat Campaign Category and the Best BAZNAS Branding Category.
BAZNAS Award is attended by a number of Governors virtually, Regents and Mayors. The award is also presented to private zakat institutions (LAZ) across Indonesia in the national, provincial and municipal levels.
Among other things, the BAZNAS Award aims to encourage the optimization and professionalism of national zakat management, as well as the motivation and performance of amil and zakat management organizations in alleviating poverty and improving community welfare. Watch again the award ceremony here.
